Corindus

Corindus, previously NaviCath, was founded in 2002 within the framework of the Technion Entrepreneurial Incubator Company, Ltd., and in 2005 opened a U.S. headquarters to manage marketing, sales and clinical affairs. The company designs, manufactures and commercializes remote control operation systems for interventional cardiology.

The Corindus flagship product, CorPath™, enables the physician to perform catheterization procedures from a remote location beyond the X-Ray radiation zone. The system mechanically advances and torques cardiology devices through patients' arteries as specified by the physician at a remote workstation.

The CorPath™ system patented technology utilizes standard femoral access and fluoroscopic control similar to traditional practice. Unique to CorPath™ is the simplicity with which it can be integrated into existing Cath Lab systems.

Initial clinical trials with the CorPath™ system have successfully demonstrated safety and efficacy and further investigational study is underway.

Ultraspect -www.ultraspect.com

UltraSPECT, based in Haifa, Israel, with U.S. A. offices in Merrick, NY, specializes in the development, production and sale of products aimed at enhancing the imaging quality and productivity performance of NM gamma cameras. Based on its proprietary, innovative reconstruction algorithms technology, W ide -Beam Reconstruction (WBRTM), the company's imaging solutions shorten acquisition times and increase image resolution. Xpress.CardiacTM cuts cardiac imaging acquisition times by one-half, without compromising image quality, while Xpress/Xact.BoneTM can either cut bone imaging acquisition times by half, or double the image resolution.

Compatible with most major manufacturers' cameras and workstations, these products can be installed in a matter of hours and offer a transparent interface between the gamma camera and workstation, requiring no technologist involvement. The shorter acquisitions improve patient comfort, reducing the potential for patient movement during the examination, and increase patient throughput by up to 50% with no trade-off in terms of image quality. The higher resolution images offer improved lesion localization, raising diagnostic confidence levels.

UltraSPECT products are FDA cleared for distribution in the USA market and are legally marketed in Europe under the CE mark. The Wide-beam reconstruction applications are already in routine use in hundreds of NM imaging centers in the USA, Europe, Asia and Australia.
